RV - We miss you on your 75th birth anniversary

posted Nov 11, 2013, 12:58 AM by Ruben M Joseph

Today (11/11/2013) marks the 75th birth anniversary of RV - the ever smiling and charismatic Chaplain of the YCW.

We miss him on this special day which he celebrates in heavenly abode.

Incidentally, this year is the 50th year of his priestly ordination.

At a time when we are promoting the cause of Canonization of Cardinal Joseph Cardijn, let us pray to RV who is in the presence of our Lord to intercede on our behalf.

RV - we miss you.

RV - We Miss You

November 17, 2012 marks one year since Fr. R. V. Mathias left for his heavenly abode.

RV had many dreams....dreams to build a new world; dreams to bring about changes in the mind-set of people, in their values and in their attitudes; dreams to bring a better deal to the marginalized, to the neglected; dreams to instil a kind of spirituality which is meaningful; dreams to restore 'human dignity'.....

RV knew that he will not see these dreams come true in his life time but he strived to pass on this message in his life time....He knew it is a long struggle and in whatever he did and whoever he met, the influence of his dream was felt....

While remembering RV on his first anniversary of his heavenly entry, let us resolve to continue to work towards fulfilling his dream...it is not the dream of one person but a dream of millions and millions of people around the world who hope for a better deal in life.

We miss you RV!

You still inspire us.
